BIOGRAPHIES
Bruno Klimek
director He was born in 1958 in Stutgart. Since 1976 he
worked in theatre as a technician for light inspecient,
director assistant and since 1982 he worked as a director.
Since then he put about fifty performances on stage. He was
engaged in Nirnberg, Krefeld and Mainheim. He directed:
Kroetz "Neither fish nor meat", Kipphardt "Brother Aihman",
Weiss "Marat/Sad", Bernhard "Before Pension" and "At the
Finish", Shakespeare "Richard II", Chekov "Three Sisters",
"Uncle Vania" and "Cherry Orchard", Moliere "Tartif" Bucehner
"Woyzecek", Schiller "Girl from Orlean"...as a guest in thetre
houses in Keln, Diseldorf, Darmstat, Munich, Hamburg and
Berlin he put a lot of dramas and operas on stage. From 1996
to 2000 he was a manager of National Theatre in Manchaim. From
2000 he is a free director, last directions in Nirnberg
(Shostakovich - "Lady Macbeth von Mzensk" with Clarry Bartha)
and in Ahen Opera (Kurt Weill - "Street Scene").
Stefan Schreiber pianist
and conductor Born in Duisburg (Germany) in 1968 he
graduated piano in the class of Professor Jose Prado. Together
with an MA examination (piano and conducting) he perfected in
the class of Professor David Levine, conducting with Professor
Wolfgang Trommer. During his studies he worked for four
seasons in Wuppertal Opera. As a conductor of a popular
repertoire, among others, "Evening of Kurt Weill" in
adaptation Pina Bausch as "Orlando" adaptation Holk Freytag.
He enriched his career with chamber music, solo concerts and
song accompaniment. From 1997 to 2001 he was a temporary
manager of Rain German Opera in Dusseldorf and was responsible
for the whole opera repertoire. From 2001 he was a GMD
assistant in music direction of the State Theatre in Hanover.
Aleksandar Zlatovic
scenographer Was born in 1949 in Belgrade graduated in 1976
in the Academy of Applied Arts in the class of the professor
Milenko [erban. A member of ULUPUDS since 1976 got a
scholarship "Mosa Pijade" - Paris in 1983. He worked in all
opera centres in Yugoslavia, scenographer of The National
Theatre in Belgrade since 1993. He made about hundred and
fifty scenographies and about thirty costume designs in this
country and abroad. He was rewarded in 1985 and 1987 of the
year prize of ULUPUDS for artistic achievement, 1991 ULUPUDS
award in the October salon in Belgrade, 1995, 1997 the year
prize of the National Theatre in Belgrade and many others.
Uta Winkelsen
kostimograf Was born in Dusseldorf where she graduated in
Academy of Arts, department scene and costume in the class of
Professor Carl Kneidl. Her first arrangement was in Mannheim
where she worked as a costume designer and scene assistant,
later she worked in Darmstadt, Bochum, Berlin, Basel, Nurnberg
and Koln. Her partners were Barbara Beyer, Nikolas Brieger,
Carl Kneidel, Thomas Heise... She was very successful in "Ball
under Masks", "Lady Macbeth Von Mzensk", "Sold Bride",
"Jenufa", "Electra". She was successful in dramas as a scene
and costume designer (B. Brecht "Bakery" and "Cement"
Berlin)...
Hans - Dieter Bader
Herodes tenor He studied in Stuttgart; his first
arrangement was in the State Opera in Wuttemberg, he spent two
seasons in theatre in Munster. A member of the opera house in
Hanover for many years. A winner of many prizes (from 1981 he
has a title "Kammersanger") During his fourty five long career
he was a guest with great success in opera houses in the
cities and countries like: Spain, Brazil, Kenya, Wiena,
Berlin, Hamburg, Milan, Tokyo, Buenos Aires...He performed and
worked in radio and television stations throughout the world.
Hans - Dieter Bader is a maestro parts of his work, German,
Italian, French and Slav repertoire. He recorded several LPs
and CDs.
Jelena Vlahovic Herodias
mezzosoprano From 1986 a leader and member of the opera
ensemble in the National Theatre in Belgrade. In her seventy -
year long career she sang many mezzo - soprano roles like:
Amneris, Eboli, Azucena, La Zia Principessa, and Carmen.
Konchakovna, which gained her many prizes and awards. She was
a guest in all opera scenes in Yugoslavia. She also cherishes
concert singing in the country and abroad. With the part of
Herodias she is a Strauss and Wagner heroine.
Clarry Bartha Salome
soprano Was born in Sweden, musical education got in Rome
("Santa Cecilia" and in London. She debuted in "Drotting
Hall") London in the role of Donna Anna ("Don Giovanni" - W.
A. Mozart). From 1987 until 1995 member of the Frankfurt
Opera. 'Til 1995 she was a guest in Paris, Rome, Bazel,
Catania and Monte Puchano. With a repertoire of Wagner,
Strauss, Jancek, Puccini, Shostakovich she was a guest in
Hamburg, Berlin, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Duseldorf, Nirnmerg and
Milan scene with conductors Askenosi, Sinopli, Armin Jordan,
Walter Weller, Germetti, Bertini... Future roles: "Tristan and
Isolde" R. Wagner, "Jenufa" L. Janacek, "Die Frau Ohne
Schatten" R. Strauss, "Medea" L. Cherubini.
Ana Rupcic Salome
soprano Was born in Uzice, member of the Belgrade Opera
from 1993. She studied opera in the Music Academy and she won
awards for republic and state competitions. She opened "Rome
summer" in "Teatro Marcello"with the role of Salome she enters
Strauss opera repertoire.
Goran Gligoric Jochanaan
baritone He was in the Belgrade Opera for more than thirty
years where he achieved more than sixty roles. With his drama
baritone he charms the audience. He got second prize award in
the international competition of opera singers in Ostende. He
got the year theatre award for the role of Amonasro ("Aida/G.
Verdi) - the best achievement for the season of 1990. The role
of Escamillo ("Carmen/G. Bizet) he created in the opening of
Osijek Opera after rennovating.
Miodrag D. Jovanovic
Jochanaan baritone Was born in Belgrade. Graduated violin
at the Music Academy in Belgrade. At the beginning of the
eighties he taught violin and chamber music. In the
conservatoire "Giuseppe Verdi" he started his singing studies.
In 1993 he was one of the winners at the International
competition in Milan, in the same year he was a finalist in
Pjacenica. He achieved roles of the lyrical and drama baritone
in these countries: Germany, Austria, Greece, and
Switzerland.
Aleksandar Dojkovic
Narraboth tenor Perfected his singing studies in France and
Italy. 1996 he debuted in the Belgrade Opera"Magic Flute" W.
A. Mozart, and from 2001he is an interpreter for the roles of
Ismail (Nabucco di Verdi), Lenski (Evgeniy Oniegin
Chaikovsky), Alfredo (LA Traviata di Verdi)... Apart from his
opera performances he cherishes concert singing (Radio
Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Nis).
Radivoje Simic Narraboth
tenor Was born in Krusevac. After graduating at the
Chemistry Faculty in Belgrade he enrolls and graduates at the
Art Academy. He started his music career in the scene of the
Belgrade Opera in the roles of G. Verdi: Cassio ("Othello"),
Ismail ("Nabucco"), Alfredo "La Traviata") and Lenski
("Eugeniy Oniegin"). From 1999 he performs in the National
Opera scene in Budapest, and he was a guest in Great Britain,
France, Japan, Italy, Greece and Bulgaria.

Herodias mezzosoprano She graduated from the Faculty of
Music Studies in 2002 in Belgrade and she enrolled MA studies.
During her education she won several awards for example in the
republic competition in Belgrade special first prize and the
prize for the best interpretation of the country's author. She
gained a scholarship of the fund for advancement of the vocal
art of the young "Melanija Bugarinovic" for 1997, 1998 and
1999. In the National Theatre opera in Belgrade she is from
the season 2002 and she performed in the operas "Hansel and
Gretel" (E. Humerdink) role of Hansel, "Carmen" (G. Bizet)
Mercedes "Cinderella" (D. Rossini) - Tisba ("La Traviata" (G.
Verdi) - Flora...

finished grammar school, secondary music school in Podgorica.
She graduated at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. She is a
National Theatre ensemble member in Belgrade from 2001. She
performed in all cities in Serbia and Montenegro.
Boris Babik Jew
tenor He finished secondary school "Stankovic" after which
he worked on advanced training for beautiful singing "Bogdan
Babic"where he performed with a soloist role in Belgrade, Novi
Sad and other towns of Serbia and Montenegro. He is a member
of the Belgrade First Singing Association where he is a
soloist and he performs in the country and abroad. Since 2000
he is a member of the ensemble of the opera and the opera
studio in the theatre.
Ljubodrag Begovic Jew
tenor He took part in the canzone international festival in
Rumania in 1992. He is a member of the Belgrade Opera since
1987, After his studies at the faculty of Music studies he
advanced his singing with the professor O. Engiarescu. An
honorary member of the Rome Academy of Sciences. In the Music
school "Vatroslav Lisinski"in Belgrade he was a vocal
pedagogue. He encounters German repertoire for the first time
with a role of Jew.
Darko Djordjevic Jew III
(Jew I) tenor He graduated at the theory department in Nis
University where he takes advanced courses for soloist singing
He is a member of Belgade opera ensemble from 1996 where he
acted in roles: Messenger ("Il Trovatore/G. Verdi), Parpiniol
("Il Boheme"/G. Puccini) ...He is an active associate with the
Belgrade Radio Choir where he had a Swan role ("Carmina
Burana"/ Carl Orff) He is a guest in the country and abroad as
an honorary member of the Nis Academy Choir.
Igor Matvejev Jew IV
tenor With the roles of Alfredo ("La Traviata"/G. Verdi),
Jurodin (Boris Godunov"/M. Musorgski), Hairway
Bolena"/Domizzetti) and many others he was a guest in
Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary. His luxurious voice was
advanced at the Faculty for Musical Arts in Belgrade and he
also graduated at the Faculty of Economy. Together with opera
he cherishes concert singing for example "Missa Brevis" and
"Requiem" W. A. Mozart. Igor Matvejev recorded several
CDs.
Sveto Kastratovic Jew V
bass Was born in 1961 member of the ensemble of the
Belgrade Opera since 1983 where he took part in smaller and
greater parts of his repertoire. He can be heard in operas "La
Traviata", "Il Boheme", "Tosca", "La Cenerentola". "Figaros
Hochzeit"... He enriched his musical education with
interpretation of Orthodox Church music and oratories of
Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn in the country and abroad.
Branislav Kosanic
Nazarenas I (Soldier II) baritone He studied soloist
singing in the secondary school in "Mokranjac" in Belgrade at
the opera studio of the National Theatre. He performed in "La
Boheme", "Rigoletto", "La Traviata", "Carmen", "Madame
Butterfly", "Il Barbiere di Seviglia", "Tosca", "La Nozze di
Figaro", "Othello"... he also sang many parts in the chamber
opera "Madlanianum"and he sang spiritual Orthodox music
throughout Yugoslavia.
Milan Prosen Nazarenas II
tenor Was born in Belgrade where he studied at the Faculty
of Philosophy. He studied soloist singing in the secondary
school "Mokranjac", from 2000 he is a member of the National
Theatre ensemble.
Goran Krneta Soldier I
bass He went to secondary school "Josip Slavenski"and he
studies in the department of soloist singing in the Academy in
Belgrade. He won prizes in the republic and state
competitions, in the international competition "Petar
Konjovic" in 1998, he won the first prize in the competition
"Nikola Cvejic" in Ruma in 2001 In the same year he performs
with the symphony orchestra of Academy of Music and RTS choir
the oratorio "Making of the World" J. Haydn and in many
concerts and tours in Germany. At the moment he is engaged in
Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad and chamber opera
"Madlenianum".
Aleksandar Stamatovic II
vojnik bass-baritone Was born in 1974 in Belgrade, he
finished piano department in the secondary music school in
Belgrade. In the republic competition of solo singers he won
the first prize in 1999. He is a member of the ensemble of the
Belgrade Opera since 1996 and he took part in many parts in
operas like: "Evgenij Oniegin", "Carmen", "Madame Butterfly",
"Tosca", "La Boheme"...
Aleksandar Tasic
Cappadocian (Soldier I) bass Was born in 1980 in Sombor,
after graduating from grammar school he enrolled at the
biology faculty at the Faculty for Natural Sciences and
Mathematics. He studies singing in school "Josip Slavenski".
In the April of 2002 he won the first prize in the republic
competition in soloist singing. He is the member of the
ensemble of the National Theatre from 2001.
